Our History

1977- L. George and Einez Yap embarked on an extraordinary journey that would shape the destiny of LEASA Industries. Arriving as immigrants from Jamaica, they settled in Miami with little more than a dream and an unwavering determination to thrive. With borrowed funds from supportive family and friends, they took a bold step forward, purchasing a bankrupt company in Liberty City, FL, despite lacking any prior experience in the sprouts business.

1980- 1990’s- As the business gradually gained momentum and prospered, L. George and Einez's relentless work ethic and commitment to excellence came to fruition. Their visionary leadership and steadfast dedication transformed LEASA Industries into a flourishing enterprise renowned for innovation, perseverance, and unwavering quality.

2000s and beyond- The company's name is a testament to their family's legacy. It is derived from the first initial of each family member: Livingston, Einez, Andrew, Sean, and Allison. They later named their youngest daughter Lisa in honor of the company.

Unexpectedly, in 2005, Einez passed away, leaving a legacy of resilience, determination, and entrepreneurial spirit. Her absence is deeply felt within the company and the community she helped nurture.

Today, LEASA Industries is led by their son, Andrew, who serves as CEO/President. Andrew, along with other family members, continues to uphold the values instilled by his parents, propelling the company forward with an unwavering commitment to excellence and integrity.

Our Commitment to Social Responsibility

At LEASA Industries, we are not just about producing exceptional food products but also dedicated to positively impacting our community. As part of our commitment to social responsibility, we believe in providing second chances to individuals with criminal records and empowering them to rebuild their lives. Our employment initiatives offer opportunities for those facing barriers to traditional employment, including individuals on welfare, with records, and former drug addicts. By providing training, support, and meaningful work opportunities, we aim to help them reintegrate into society, gain valuable skills, and build brighter futures for themselves and their families. L. George and Einez envisioned a workplace aimed at giving second chances, a true testament to their giving nature and humble beginnings.

We actively support local charities, food banks, and community organizations that work tirelessly to address pressing social issues such as hunger, homelessness, and poverty. Through donations, volunteer efforts, and partnerships with county organizations, we strive to make a tangible difference in the lives of those in need.

At LEASA Industries, we believe that everyone deserves a second chance, and we are proud to play a role in creating opportunities for positive change. By investing in our community and supporting individuals in their journey toward rehabilitation and success, we contribute to a more inclusive and compassionate society for all. At LEASA Industries, we would not be the company we are today without our dedicated and loyal employees who help us make a difference each day.
